I want to write for the New York Times manga bestseller list! I am now compiling a completely unbiased and unprejudiced blurb that will be inserted for Yotsuba volume 6! Ok, is everybody ready for this?! Here it is:
“Yosuba Volume 6— Yotsuba rides a bike.”

Whoops, I was rejected by the New York Times because I wrote “Yosuba” instead of “Yotsuba”. They said while they liked my work, the obvious spelling error was something that would not be overlooked by a professional manga back page scanner never read it but comment on a blurb for it manga bestseller reporter.
Actually, the Japanese title is “もやしもん”, not “Moyashimon.” There’s no previous official romanization in the title.
Yes, “shi” and “si” are both valid romanisations for “し” — “shi” reflects the pronunciation, but “si” fits the layout of the Japanese syllabary better (and I’m with most gaijin and a reasonable number of Japanese in caring more about the former than the latter).
